Description:
Located in Shippensburg, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting the CFO/CAO in various accounting functions and projects. Assist in the profitability reporting of the bank, including organizational and branch profitability, to include accounts payable coding; Maintain fixed asset and related depreciation records to include the preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliation of account balances to the general ledger; Complete various account reconciliations on a bi-monthly or monthly basis; Prepare monthly summary of financial results for the Board of Directors, to include an ORRF stock trading activity summary; Serves as back-up or second level review in essential finance related responsibilities; and provide assistance to the Financial Reporting Officer as needed.
Education & Training:
A minimum of two (2) year degree in Business or Accounting.
Experience:
Prior experience in bank accounting preferred, but not essential.
Skills:
Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate to above average PC skills to include MicroSoft Office applications; Above average accounting and mathematical skills, good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, on assigned accounting tasks; strong organizational skills; ability to effectively multi-task and work within compressed time frames and meet deadlines; and possess a valid driver's license.
