What is a direct deposit (ACH credit)?
Direct deposit is a convenient, secure, and easy way of having funds deposited into your account. You can receive your payroll, governmental benefits, and investment dividends using direct deposit. The funds are received electronically and deposited directly into your account. Direct deposits are sometimes called ACH credits.
When will my direct deposit start?
This can depend on the source of your direct deposit. Usually it takes four to eight weeks to start a new direct deposit. This also applies to existing direct deposits you may be transferring to your new account. You will need to keep the account you are switching from open until you know that your new account is receiving your deposits.
What is an automatic bill payment (ACH debit)?
Automatic bill payment is a money saving, easy, and convenient way to pay different types of companies, such as utilities, loans, credit cards, or insurance. Orrstown Bank's Bill Pay service is available to you 24-hours a day, seven days a week. You may use this FREE service whenever and wherever it is most convenient for you. All you need is a

Sometimes, automatic debits can also be set up with a specific company by giving them a voided check and specifying a date for them to take your payment from your account. These types of transactions are sent through your account electronically on the date and for the amount that you specify. Bill Pay is sometimes called an ACH debit.
Can I receive my monthly checking account statements electronically?
Yes. Once you have signed up for Orrstown Bank’s

, you can sign up for our FREE e-Statement. Orrstown Bank will send you an email when your monthly statement is available. You can view, print, or download and save your statement.
When will my automatic Bill Pay start?
If you are using Orrstown Bank’s

and Bill Pay, you may begin making payments as soon as you have completed signing up for these services. If you have given a merchant or billing company a voided check for them to take the funds from your account, these transactions may take four to eight weeks to begin. If you are changing your payment from a different account/financial institution, the charges may not come out of your new account for four to eight weeks after your request. That is why it is important to leave the account at your previous financial institution open until you have verified that all necessary payments have been switched to Orrstown Bank.
